The Cup is Half Full

I met a man who is 80 with diabetes and all his toes amputated on one foot. The calf above the sad foot is swollen and red with thickened skin.

Every day he goes out on his farm and gets on his tractor. Some days he rides for seven hours and is exhausted when he goes to bed at night.

He laughs easily.

He is the embodiment of gratitude. His father had diabetes and lost his leg. He feels very lucky that he’s been able to keep both legs.

Others in the same situation with half a foot might feel sorry for themselves and use it as an excuse to do less. Especially at the ripe old age of 80.

Respect!
